Kelly Elliott of Lakeside Glass Studio began making lampwork beads in 1997. The journey into lampworking began with a single-gas torch and 30 year-old kiln and has since progressed to an oxygen/propane torch, programmable kiln, and dedicated studio space in her home. She is a self-taught glassworker; creating beads, fused glass, sterling silver jewelry, and more.
Kelly has previously shown at the Chelsea Art Market, Marshall Fountain Faire, and currently has beads and jewelry for sale at Harmony Glassworks in Harmony, CA. Among the awards she has won are Best in Category, University of Michigan Health System Employee Art Competition (2014), 3rd place in the 2002 Delphi ArtGlass Festival in the Hot Glass category and 2nd place in the 2003 Delphi ArtGlass Festival Jewelry category (both in-store and online contests). She has also attained featured artist status on the front cover of the 2002-2003 Delphi Glass catalog; and her work was featured in the WetCanvas! Sand and Glass calendar for the months of January and April, 2003. In 2017, she is one of the featured artists in the Slumpy's glass mold catalog.
